Literacy Strategy – Using language effectively describe and persuade.
LESSON 1
In this lesson, children are asked to look at a range of can labels
and to look for common features in them. They learn about what the legal
requirements are as to the information on a can and what additional information
is also often included.
LESSON 2
Looking at a range of labels, the children evaluate how effective
can labels are at making the consumer want to buy the product. They
also look at a selection of labels for the same product, looking how
each uses
the label to pass on information.
LESSON 3
In this lesson, the children draw on the information they have learnt
from the last two lessons and use this to design a label for a new
product.
